Sometimes, school curriculum require you to teach topics. So, there is always a way to create stories based on such topics.

In this book, there are less than 100 high-frequency words, but in most pages, there is a table with either the verbs and translations or colors/numbers, etc. That way each teacher can use it as he/she prefers. Check some my Book Trailer.

Here you can see that you can use numbers to talk about prices, ages, etc.

Then, you can use feelings to talk about how students are feelings or how the characters are feeling.
