Foreshadowing is an important element in all the stories. But what’s foreshadowing?

It’s important to introduce elements that will be important in your story since the beginning. For example, if a dog will save you from a villain, introduce the dog in the first pages. I used to do that a lot until an editor told me about that rule and that’s why I want you to be aware of that.
